CALL FOR PAPERS
The 8th Annual Conference on Information Science Technology and Management aims to bring together academics and practitioners who have an interest in the subject matter and facilitate a dialogs. Such an interaction is important for furthering knowledge and ensures a balance between relevance and rigor. Publication outlet of ideas presented at the conference is offered through the Journal of Information Science and Technology, an academic publication.

Nature and Scope
Papers dealing with all aspects of Information Science Technology and Management are welcome. In particular, papers that explore the multidisciplinary nature of the subject matter are encouraged. The nature and scope of CISTM is best described in the editorial of the inaugural issue of Journal of Information Science and Technology, where Steve Simon argues, "Practitioners and researchers have often held stereotypical views of each other, with practitioners viewing researchers as interested only in methodological rigor while failing to concern themselves with anything in the real world, and researchers damning practitioners for embracing the latest fads, regardless of theory or evidence."
Submission Instruction
Submissions can be made in a number of categories: Completed research papers, research-in-progress papers, case studies, panels and posters/round table discussion papers. Please follow the following guidelines in preparing your submission.
Completed research papers
Typically 5,000 words long (excluding abstract and references)
Research in progress papers
Typically 2,500 words (excluding abstract and references).
Case studies
Typically between 3,000 and 5,000 words long
Posters and round table discussion
Typically a 1000 word synopsis of the topic area to be presented.
Panel proposals
Typically a 1000 word description, identifying the panelists to
be involved
In preparing your papers, please use the Harvard referencing style. In text citations should be in an Author (date) format with the bibliographical list inserted at the end of the paper.
Submission and review process will be handled electronically. Please make your submission as one MSWord or RTF file. Include all figures and tables in relevant places in the text. The title page should indicate the title, author affiliations including telephone, fax and email, in case of multiple authors corresponding author details should be clearly identified. The title page should also identify the track for which you wish your paper to be considered. All submissions will be double blind peer reviewed

In 2010 the Information Institute has partnered with Virginia Commonwealth University (USA), University of Tampere (Finland), University of North Carolina Greensboro (USA) and Management Development Institute (India) for the 2010 Conference on Information Science Technology and Management.
Information Institute
Information Institute is a non profit academe-industry consortium founded to further understanding of intricate relationships between information science and technology. The Institute is organized as a charitable, educational and a scientific concern under section 501(c)(3) of United Stated Internal Revenue Code of 1986.
